REILEY Sidney George (1873-1925) was a famous Russian-born British spy and adventurer. In the opinion of many specialists, the spy S. Reilly worked for several countries at once. They attribute to him the infiltration of Russian political émigré circles in London in the 1890s, intelligence activities in Manchuria during the Russo-Japanese War, and an attempt to overthrow the Bolsheviks in 1918. Sidney Reilly is best known for Operation Trust ("Trest"), during which he was arrested and shot by the Bolsheviks in 1925.
