The book examines the history of the construction of the “Spas-na-Vodakh” church, built in 1911 in memory of all sailors who perished during the Russo-Japanese War, but above all in memory of the destruction of the Russian fleet in the Battle of Tsushima on May 14–15, 1905. The church, built in the Vladimir-Suzdal architectural style of the pre-Mongol period, stands in St. Petersburg at the end of the English Embankment, not far from the shipyards. Over time, it has become a monument to all naval sailors who died at sea for Russia.
