Vladimir Konstantinovich Shenk (1869–1947) was a Guards colonel in the Russian Army, a participant in the White movement in northwestern Russia, and a military historian. The regulations on the wearing of uniforms published by him in 1910 became the foundational, most comprehensive collection of decrees regarding the rules for wearing military uniforms in Russia in the 1910s, upon which all subsequent editions were based. Up until 1917, additions and changes were made to the rules for wearing military uniforms, but such a comprehensive collection of guiding documents was never created again. Rare.
