The icons
The most beautiful representation of the Orthodox religion is undoubtedly its icons.
We regularly offer for sale traditional tempera-on-wood icons from the 17ᵉ, 18ᵉ and 19ᵉ centuries, sometimes with a slightly more luxurious variant decorated with an oklad or riza, which is a metal, silver or vermeil covering juxtaposed on the icon. This covering can be adorned with pearls, filigree or polychrome enamel, all in a custom-made box.
